What is WOSHIE
WOSHIE is an organisation with the objective to spread and promote health protection to people in indoor environments.
Currently, due to the world-wide alert caused by the Corona virus Covid-19, spreading and promoting prevention measures, protection and containment of this virus will be, for the time being, the only objective of WOSHIE.
WOSHIE is composed of companies, professionals and institutions that, once registered, will be members of WOSHIE.
A member of WOSHIE may be people, businesses and institutions from any country around the world that is interested in the protection and health of people inside buildings.
The members of WOSHIE may register in the mode “confidential”, thus not appearing on the web site or “visible” which will make them visible on the web site.
Members will acquire a membership number and a certificate to indicate their support for WOSHIE in its current activity which is to promote safe environments where people are protected from the virus infection.
Members may also participate actively with WOSHIE by sending proposals and information of interest as well as to indicating willingness to cooperate with WOSHIE in its activities concerning the protection of individual health in indoor environments.
Individual, NGO, Company and Public institutions can become WOSHIE members

Building CERTIFICATION
Complete buildings (Office buildings, public administration buildings…) and indoor spaces (commercial premises, offices, supermarkets, malls in shopping centers, common areas in offices buildings…) can register and begin the process to achieve the WOSHIE Certificate of protection against the spread of virus:

WHAT does WOSHIE do?
The objective of WOSHIE is to spread and promote protection and health in indoor environments. Currently, due to the world-wide alert sparked by Coronavirus or Covid-19, our aim is to spread and promote prevention measures, protection and containment of this virus. This, for the time being, is the only objective of WOSHIE.
In particular, the following actions will be carried out:
- Drafting & updating the “WOSHIE guide” for the protection of buildings from the spread & infection by the virus"
- Technical support for the protection of buildings against the spread & infection by the virus.
- Checking the the building provides an appropriate protection against the spread & infection by the virus
- Sampling and checking that the building is virus-free.
- Issuing the WOSHIE certificate for the building to be protected from the spread & infection by the virus.
- Homologation of appropriate products for protection of buildings against the spread & infection by the virus.

At WOSHIE we are aware of the fact that to reach a 100% rate of security against the virus is not possible, or at least is very complicated and expensive.
However, we are also aware of the fact that there are buildings all around the world, regardless of the level of alert in which they find themselves at, that are open and frequented by people living, working or accessing products and services. We can help to assure that these indoor environments can be better protected at an assumable complexity and cost. This is of the outmost importance, not only on and individual level, but also to assure the continuation of the activities that take place there, the services produced or the physical products provided.
This is why we believe that the spreading and promotion of prevention measures of the virus is of the outmost importance, not only on an individual level, but also for the economy as a whole, be that at an organisational, nation-wide, regional or city level. This will help to avoid the saturation of health care systems in these areas.
Specifically, recommendations will be made to individuals as well as to companies, NGOs, public organisations and governments with the view to promote protection of the individual and to avoid infection by Coronavirus/Covid-19. These recommendations are mainly directed towards indoor environments, as this is where most of us spend most of our time and where we are close to other people.
WHAT is not WOSHIE?
WOSHIE does not, nor does it intend, to critique the way individuals, businesses, public organisations and governments are managing the current Coronavirus crisis. We believe that the decisions that are being taken by them are based on the best, current information and that the objective is the common good, or at least the least harmful option. On the contrary, WOSHIE aims to be of assistance to individuals, businesses, public organisations and governments so that they may assure themselves and others that the measures recommended by WOSHIE are already implemented. Should that not be the case these organisations may consider joining WOSHIE given that unique problems and singularities will require unique solutions.
WOSHIE is not, nor does it pretend to be, a competitor or a critic of national and international organisations whose task it is to ensure the health of their populations and who are doing a good job at that. On the contrary, we recognize the effort that these organisations are making and their great public benefit. Our aim is to be a complement in these efforts with a specific focus on the Coronavirus/Covid-19.
